Hoop

A research into embroidery tools and techniques led to the design of this radio. The laminated structure of the radio holds a material embroidered with conductive thread thus turning its face into a modern interface. By touching the embroidered symbols, a circuit is closed and the radio is activated and tuned. An internal L.C.D screen is visible through the thin layer of veneer in the radio's front. As happens in embroidery frames, the back of radio was left exposed, revealing its structure
